AN ORDINANCE REGULATING USE OF MUNICIPAL PARKING LOTS
Parking rules in municipal parking lots.
(a) It is unlawful for any person to leave or park a motor vehicle in a parking lot owned by the City of Wabasso:
(1) Contrary to the signposted restrictions or limitations, when authorized by resolution of the council.
(2) Parked in the driving lanes of the parking lot.
(3) Not parked within the marked lines.
(b) It is unlawful for a person to drive a motor vehicle in a municipally owned parking lot as follows:
(1) In the direction opposite the flow of traffic marked by one-way signs or arrows.
(2) Carelessly or needlessly in disregard of the rights of others, or in a manner that endangers or is likely to endanger any property or any person, including the driver or passenger of the vehicle.
(c) A violation of this ordinance shall be punishable by a fine in the amount of $15.00.
(d) It shall be considered a separate violation if a motor vehicle remains in violation of any provision of this ordinance for a period of more than twenty-four (24) hours.
(e) The City of Wabasso shall have the authority to tow any motor vehicles in violation of this ordinance pursuant to Minn. Stat. 168B.035.
(f) As to any vehicle parking in violation of this article when the driver is not present, it shall be presumed that the owner parked the vehicle, or that the driver was acting as the agent of the owner.
