About The Wabasso Public Library
The Wabasso Public Library is part of the Plum Creek Library System. It houses over 12,000 books, 900 audiobooks, 2,000 DVDs and 30 magazine titles.
Other features of the library include:
- 5 public access computers
- Printing, scanning, copying and faxing services
- Free WiFi
- Adult and children’s programs
- Access to the Wabasso Standard newspaper (1900-present)
- Digital access to the extensive photograph collection that once belonged to the former Wabasso Museum

History of the Library
The Wabasso Public Library is located at the corner of North and Oak Street. It was founded in 1942, although in prior years, a small library sponsored by the Progress Club had been housed in the old City Hall and (at times) above various Main Street businesses.

To provide quality materials and services which enrich and fulfill the educational, informational, cultural, and recreational needs of the community and surrounding townships.
