The City of Wabasso was recently awarded a $1,250,000 Local Road Improvement Program Grant by the Minnesota Department of Transportation for the reconstruction of Cedar Street from Highway #68 to May Street. The estimated cost of the project is $2,200,000. It is anticipated the balance of the project is to be funded through city borrowing, street improvement funds and special assessments. The project is scheduled to begin in 2022 and completed in 2023 in conjunction with the Sanitary Sewer Improvement project. The City Engineer will present a detailed overview of the project at the July 12, 2021 Council Meeting.
