WABASSO, MINN. — The City of Wabasso is excited to host its 125th Celebration this weekend, August 1–3, 2025.
The jam-packed, three-day event, hosted in partnership with the Wabasso Area Commercial Club, will be held at three primary locations: the Wabasso Community Center, Francis Manderscheid Field, and City Park (just south of Wabasso Public School).
The opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday at 5:30 p.m. at the Community Center, where the Wabasso Lions Club will be serving burgers and brats for five dollars per meal (kids under 6 eat free). Friday entertainment includes DJ Chopper, axe throwing, wine tasting with Rolling Forks Vineyards, kid's movie, and a bean bag tournament.
On Saturday, August 2nd, Rhino will perform at the Community Center with a fireworks display between stage sets (approximately 10:00 p.m.) A variety of food trucks will be available Saturday night including Asian Hut, Farmer Joe's Broast Beef, and Rosita Taqueria Y Antojitos.
Opening for Rhino at 6:00 p.m. will be Minority Falls, a Sioux Falls cover band in which Wabasso native Austine Pitzl stars as a lead singer.
