Wabasso Economic Development Authority (EDA)
The EDA has a five-member board appointed by the City Council. The EDA works to promote economic development and housing opportunities for the City. The EDA board meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 5:00 p.m. at the Community Center. Business Assistance
The EDA works in partnership with the Redwood Area Development Corporation and Redwood Economic Development Commission to provide business assistance to new and existing businesses, including business planning and financial packages. The EDA operates a Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) to help with business start-ups and expansions.
Housing
The EDA operates 5 units of rental housing for the community. These units are located at 1172 Dewey Street. Rent includes all maintenance of the grounds. Prices range from $22,000 to $26,000 plus terms. The lots are fully developed including paved streets, curb and gutter, and all municipal utilities.
