AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WABASSO TO INCLUDE CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED PROPERTY OWNED BY AND ABUTTING UPON THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WABASSO
WHEREAS, the territory described below is not presently within the corporate limits of any incorporated city; and
WHEREAS, this territory abuts upon the corporate limits of the City of Wabasso at the east boundary and south boundary thereof and is deemed to be urban in character; and
WHEREAS, this territory is owned in fee by the city;
The City Council of the City of Wabasso does ordain:
Section 1. Territory Annexed.
The corporate limits of the City of Wabasso are hereby extended to include the unplatted property described as follows:
All that tract or parcel of land situated in the southwest corner (SW1/4) of section twenty-four (24), township one hundred eleven (111) north, range thirty-seven (37) west, Redwood County , Minnesota, described as follows:
Commencing at a point 398 feet east and 547 feet north of the southwest corner of the southwest quarter (SW1/4) of section twenty-four (24), then west a distance of 220 feet, then north a distance of 171.5 feet, then west a distance of 178 feet to the west line of said southwest quarter, then north along said line a distance of 538 feet, then south a distance of 709.5 feet to the point of beginning, containing 5.78 acres more or less.
Section 2. Filing.
The City Clerk is directed to file certified copies of this Ordinance with the Seretary of State, the County Auditor of Redwood County , the Town Clerk of Vail Township and Minnesota Municipal Board.
Section 3. Efective Date of Annexation
This ordinance takes effect upon its passage and publication and the filing of certified copies as directed in Section 2.
