AN ORDINANCE REGULATING PARKING LOCATION, USE AND OCCUPANCY OF HOUSE TRAILERS OR MOBILE HOMES AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF
The Village Council of the Village of Wabasso, Minnesota, do ordain as follows:
Section 1.
It shall be unlawful within the limits of the Village of Wabasso for any person to park a house trailer or mobile home on any street, alley, highway or other public place except for emergency stopping or parking for not longer than 24 hours and subject to the regulation of traffic thereon, and it shall be unlawful to park a trailer on any tract of land within the village of Wabasso unless said land is owned by the person owning the trailer, and then only if the land or lot does not contain an occupied dwelling and there is no written objection by any abutting property owners; all other house trailers or mobile homes shall be parked or located in a trailer park duly approved by the Village Council and the Minnesota Department of Health.
Section 2.
All house trailers or mobile homes to be used as permanent places of abode within the Village of Wabasso shall be properly connected with the village sewer and water system and shall be in compliance with all state and local laws regarding plumbing, sanitation, health and electrical work.
Section 3.
Persons and owners who have used a trailer house or mobile home continuously as a dwelling in Wabasso, Minnesota, for 60 days or more immediately preceding the effective date of this ordinance shall be allowed to leave it situated at its present location but shall be in compliance with all State and local laws regarding plumbing, sanitation, health and electrical work.
Section 4.
Any owner or person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $300.00 or by imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding 90 days, or both.
Section 5.
This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and publication.
