The Minnesota DNR has declared a Drought Warning Phase for the Minnesota River watershed. Cities in the watershed are required to take action to reduce water usage in their respective communities. In addition to the recent restrictions prohibiting lawn sprinkling between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., the city is also restricting lawn sprinkling to an odd/even system. Residents with even numbered house addresses are only allowed to water their lawns on even numbered days and odd numbered house addresses to odd numbered days. The restrictions noted above do not apply to recently established lawns or gardens or from sources other than the City’s water system
